Latinxs in in Sustainability (LiS) is launching an External Advisory Board to serve as a low-lift, high-impact space for mission-aligned leaders, industry experts, and community champions to offer strategic input and help shape the future of LiS. This board will:

• Expand our geographic reach

• Deepen our partnership and employer connections

• Strengthen our industry insight

• Help us build a stronger national presence

• Cultivate diversity of thought and leadership

Why an Advisory Board?

While our leadership team drives the day-to-day of LiS, this advisory group will:

• Offer twice-yearly feedback on our strategic direction

• Help us stay accountable to our values as we scale

• Act as ambassadors and connectors to opportunities

• Provide mentorship and insights from adjacent fields

Advisory Board Commitments

• Serve for a 1-year renewable term

• Participate in 1–2 virtual meetings annually (60–90 mins each)

• Provide light-touch feedback via email or surveys (1–2x/year)

• Share relevant funding and/or employment opportunities, ideas, or connections/introductions when aligned

• Publicize participation as External Advisory Board member to LiS on Linkedin

Ideal Advisor Profile

We’re looking for:

• Mission-aligned professionals who believe in equity, visibility, and Latinx leadership in climate and sustainability

• 10+ years experience in: clean energy, sustainability, nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, DEI, organizing, academia, workforce development, policy, communications, or related fields
